what does latin script and literacy have to do with each other

literacy is the ability to read and comprehend a particular script or to understand a particular language, are arabs illiterate because they cant write in latin. you make absolutely no sense.

Because it was the script chosen by Allah as the script for his kalamah.

God chose Hebrew prior to that.

We have to understand the circumstances. It was post-colonial era at the time and virtually everyone who was able to read and write in Somalia and Djibouti at the time were only able to do so in English, French and Italian. These languages use the Latin script. It was just the common sense thing to do at the time. Siad Barre did the most logical thing.

Siad Barre sent thousands of young people to teach their parents, siblings, friends, kinsmen and fellow Somalis how to read and write with this script with the aim of educating as much people as he can and as fast as he can. Why waste time and educate the same teachers of another foreign script they know nothing about?

At the end of the day, the Somali language uses the Latin alphabet and that will never change. Look forward. Not backwards. What's done is done. This is not even a big deal.

Superior in what way? If God would've sent a roman prophet then the Qur'aan would've been in Latin. If God would've sent a Somali prophet it would be in Somali etc.

The prophet God sent happened to be Arab and therefore the revelations were sent in Arabic aswell.
