Will KENYA succeed to take over Somali territorial waters?

Postby Homer Simpso » Wed Dec 26, 2012 8:47 am

Kenya has never been shy about their interest in taking over the Somali territorial waters as to obtain the gas and other natural resources in these waters. They tried over and over again to get agreements or give-away-land signs from previous governments but in vain. This is one of the reasons they sent their troops to Kismaayo and want to establish a Jubbaland autonomous region in the South but they are still facing fierce rejection from the Somali lawmakers. If Kenya succeeds obtaining these water it will be the most wealthy country in Africa but if they fail Somali will be the most wealthy country in Africa. Jubbaland should be established in accordance with the Somali constitution and overseen by the Somali government lead by the president. I applaud the Somali lawmakers for dropping all the previous agreement the countries had which were beneficial to the Kenyan government only.

I believe Kenya will not stop trying again and again as Sheik Mohamoud refused their demand. Do you think they will succeed next time?

I dont care what the average simpleton in this tribal infested forum say,But i believe somalia is a sovereign nation however weak its Governmental institutions,Security apparatus are.Kenya doesnt have the will to take that dangerous road. This land is part and parcel of the federal somali republic Juridiction and only through its approval any admin can function in this part of the country.

I applaud Both the president and PM shirdoon firm stance on this issue but the Gov must insist on the sovereignty of the somali republic at all cost. Hopefully this will unite the people from all walks of life and Clans to commonly defend their homeland and dignity.
