about a summer a go I tried out for the apprentice when it came to town and it was the most HORRIBLE experience. we were ushered into a room 20 at a time and seated at a set of tables facing each other & da casting director was at the head of the tables. he told us that we had 10 minutes, he was going to give us topics, and we were supposed to pick a position and support it with a an argument.
the first topic was "did da right guy win the election?" and I can only describe what ensued as total and absolutely tremendous chaos. Yelling, lots of yelling. Everyone trying to make their position heard, trying to stand out. It wasn't a subdued roundtable discussion, it was 20 people all clawing to get noticed above the rest. Everytime I tried speaking some one would interrupt-I could hardly say anything without screaming.
so I yelled out, loudly and clearly-"george bush is a freakish genocidal maniac who wants to destroy all muslims thats why he shouldn't have won !!! and anyone who voted for him is moronic" everyone suddenly stopped talking and stared at me for like 10 seconds and I'm like "well, it's true" Well, I never made it to da second round but I DID get my word in. and all da ppl there by the way were businesspeople or were in law school. it was quite embarassing
