Disappoited by your ignorance. The world is heaving with single-clan nations. In fact there are even quite a few single extended family nations. Maybe you should look at the world map again.
Your `why write in a Somali webiste' pettiness is shabby too. We write in Yahoo does that make us Americans? All Areabic-speaking nations write on Al-Jazeera but they remain different nations.
This idea that we should be one because we speak teh same languigae and share the same culture is probably the most ludicrous rationale for building nation-states in the modern world. I sometimes wonder whether our Somalia brothers think before they spew their anti-lander bile with such All-Stock Must Go Clearance Sale intellect.
Arabs have tewnty odd states - all seperate all-independent. Germans share language with Austria and other Eurom countries. Five europeans nations three of them cosnsiting of single families speak French. Malians, Nigers, Chads and Burkinabes are the same people more or less and share Islam and ethnicity.
In latin america everybody speaks Spanish except Brazil. And of course Aussies are despised by NZers although they share everyuthing we share and more since they share early history something we DON'T.
Unions of nation-states today are voluntary marriages of convenience and only remain when all parties feel their economic, political and social interests will be enhanced by a union.
If not they go their seperate ways. Some remain friends cbut Sopmalis seem to believe in a zero-sum game: We are either united in a deadly embrace of corruption, barbarity, genocide, injustice famine and war or we hate each other. I prefer the alternative: such union is dead, but we MUST remain peaceful, friendly, allied neighbours with three flow of goods, people and services and any somali-speaker must be allowed to travel and set-up buisiness or home wherever he wants.
Personally I would love to have a hilltop house on shimbir Biris Mountain and another in Hamar or Merka. Oh and a Brewery - big massive one that brews crisp, dry, premium draught lager made from top quality Elmi Jama Sorghum between hargeisa and Borame.
So chill-out somalia. We don't hate you we just think you are too dumb, violent and uncool for us to do anything with. Apart from that you are really OK. Honest.[/quote]
First Galol I ain't your brother so please don't call me brother and second Somaliland is Islamic Republic, so Islamophobics like you have no place in Somalia...

That is not up to you that is up to people of Somaliland who I remind you are overwhelmingly muslim. Besides the Somaliland constitution clearly says the official religion of the country is Islam, and not secularism or Christianity or Paganism...
"best for every somalilander"
So Islam is not the best thing for Somaliland is that what you are suggesting?

You have right to believe or do whatever you want as long as you respect the laws of the nation. If the citizens of Somaliland chose to incorporate Islamic law into their constitutional law, than you need to respect the wishes of the majority. After all democracy is all about the majority rule isn't.

If somaliland includes any Islamic laws into into its constitution, kiss goodbye to any chance of peace and stability.

Ceelgaabo. First, learn how to spell the name of the city you are claiming. The Lionhearts and Ceelgaaboos here are well known to us, lately, we had more of your faqashs pretenders. Durriya sons behave differently than you, this is why many of us agree on issues the average minded Southerner wont understand. You are right Galol is not welcome in Somalia, your place of birth, but in Somaliland, where leve-headness carrys the day he is a citizen like any other citizen, we are tolerant prople, perhaps thats why Michael Marimo, Faarax George, Ilma Wiliams and many others called Somaliland home.

Thats excatly what i ment the wishes of the majority must be respected
and the majority of the somalis are not religios.
Those rules that you are implaying will succeed when you see an empty
streets during the salats and thats not what happening over there.
Soon we gonna have pubs and night clubs insha allah and we keep singning DAAANCING DAAAAANCING DAAAAANCING IN PEACE.
Somalis are good at to pretend of being religois men and women but in reality THEY ARE NOT.

Xidigta you are right about one thing, I'm not like your kind. I don't hate someone who speaks, shares the same culture and religion as me and love some who I don't share culture and faith with. I'm thankful to god that I'm not blinded by tribal hatered the way you and other fools like you are blinded by both in Somaliland and Somali.
Xidigta I didn't know Habar Yonis were a Darood sub-clan, I'm Habar Yonis, Musa Ismeal, Musa Tuwaa, Reer Aden, etc...

ceelgaabo (that is the correct spelling BTW), you're a chic
Qhudac is right, you gotta let ppl LIVE. But one thing you can't ignore is the simple fact that morally 'lose' societies (US, europeans, asians...) are better off then morally 'righteous' counterparts. The lesson. Too much religion means poor living statistics.
