How do you get a 10 month old to stop crying ? I haven't figured it out and his mother is to blame. She spoiled the kid by holding him all the time. She would not allow him to sleep in his crib at night and now the kid insists on being held all the time.

What can be done to break this? I have to sometimes baby sit this kid when his mom is out shopping. I am stressed and can't sleep

but i thought kids are supposed to learn to sleep by themselves

so if they have a clean diaper, not hungry etc. then you should let them sleep by themselves

what i used to do was turn on the TV/laptop and let my boys watch baby cartoon that would always make them quite, my mum spoiled my twin boys so i used to be in a similar situation as you sometimes. alternatively you could buy a baby carrier you know one of those sacks and you could take the kid with you everywhere

Hamdulilah my little boy is not a cry er.. even when he was 8-10 months. Dude likes falling sleep in my lap and nowhere else, I think babies are prejudice when they are very little because he doesn't do that with anybody but me.
