Another interesting story I picked up is that a couple of centuries after Uthman put the quraan in the current
order and standardised the writing, people got worried that even though it was written it'll diverge in pronounciation/recitation.

So fatha kisra duma was invented for this purpose, Uthman quraan had no fatha kisra duma.
they got togather 7 people, they were told to recite the quraan, it had to match uthman quraan.
and 2 people wrote down and added the vowels to the quraan for each recitation by the 7 people.

And thats why we have the 7 qira'ats today, almost exactly the same bar a few differences in pronounciation.
The quraan today is not only written but how to recite is also recorded within it, which was not always the case.

The recitation and written word conserved for all time :dj:

Haa dee.when the Waxi was local to Arabia here was no need for the fatha kisra duma etc.Because it was their language.A soon as Islam spread to foreign lands, however, you needed to know whether for example the word MLK MALIK.MILAK MULAK and so on

You cannot ruin discussions just because you have some beef with the author.

There's nothing in Bukhaari's Hadiith book about chapters missing?

Thug

What's amazing is that each of those 7 people had to prove their recitation could be
traced back to the time of the prophet and his companions. i.e. their teachers teacher etc
must have live in the time of the prophet.

7 different people ...each with 2 people writing for them. all had nothing to do with each other.
And yet almost no differences at all.

One difference I know of for example is in the beggining chapter
Where in 1 qira'at its maliki yawmi diin and in another it's maaliki yawmi diin but both have the
the exact same letters. really interesting it is, the way in each which great effort was put in to
preserve our quraan

It's called Silsilat or chain of transmission dee. That's how everything is with all Cilm in Islam.Even hadith has to have a chain of transmission from the Angel Gibriil to our beloved prophet .Right down to the present day.Islam is not taught by books but by people.Ibn Hajir Al-Asqalani is known to have memorized 100,000 hadiths and their silsilat

There's nothing in Bukhaari's Hadiith book about chapters missing?
Hadith No. 817,Vol. 8) {Sahih Bukhari }
Umar said, 'By Allah, I shall do so the first time I stand (to address the people) in Medina.' When we reached Medina, `Umar (in a Friday Khutba-sermon) said, "No doubt, Allah sent Muhammad with the Truth and revealed to him the Book (Qur'an), and among what was revealed, was the Verse of Ar-Rajm (stoning adulterers to death
[/quote]

Aisha(ra) narrates:
"When the verse of stoning and verse of suckling descended, they were written on a piece of paper and kept under my pillow. Following the demise of Prophet Muhammad (S) a goat ate the piece of paper whilst we were mourning."
Online Sunan Ibn Majah [Arabic], Book of Suckling, Hadith No. 2020

Yalaxow a mere comment on a forum doesn't prove anything come with clear proof and verdicts of well known scholars then we might have something to argue about.

dr yalaxoow, those verses weren't meat to be in the Qur'aan. they were gone, but after that they were abgrogated.

Book 008, Number 3421: 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with, her) reported that it had been revealed in the Holy Qur'an that ten clear sucklings make the marriage unlawful, then it was abrogated (and substituted) by five sucklings and Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) died and it was before that time (found) in the Holy Qur'an (and recited by the Muslims).

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr ibn Hazm from Amra bint Abd ar-Rahman that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Amongst what was sent down of the Qur'an was 'ten known sucklings make haram' -then it was abrogated by 'five known sucklings'. When the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, died, it was what is now recited of the Qur'an." Yahya said that Malik said, "One does not act on this."
Book 030, Hadith Number 017.

abgrogated verses in the quran are still part of quran but according sunni hadiiths such as muslim and bukhari there are missing verses in the quran which aisha said it was reaveled and Goat eat the papper which the verse was written down-- and also the famous RAJM stoning verse which umar ibn khtaab said according hadith that RAJM verse was sent down and we read it and memorized and some how thet rajm verse is not part of 6666 verses of the quran we have today..
Sahih al-Bukhari
================
Al-Bukhari recorded in his Sahih, v8, pp 209-210, that
Ibn Abbas reported that Umar Ibn al-Khattab said the following in
a discourse which he delivered during the last years of the caliphate.

*(For Arabic-English version of Sahih al-Bukhari see 8.817:)*

When Umar performed his last Hajj, he said:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Certainly Allah sent Muhammad with the truth and revealed
him the Book. One of the revelations which came to him
was the verse of stoning. We read it and understood it.

Since when did ibn Majah become Bukhari and Muslim?

Debating with Yalaxoow is aggravating and fruitless work.
