Make $45K in Canada and you're in the top 3% globally.

It's all perspective. There will always be someone wealthier. The opportunity to acquire wealth is open to most people in the developed world. Fortunately, the majority of us haven't adopted the morally benign philosophy necessary to break those brackets. "Wealth inequality" or "wealth distribution" in my opinion aren't the best terms to use when discussing solutions to social inequity. Once the opportunities and avenues to earn have been delivered to all, there really isn't any obligation on any governing body to redistribute wealth. Even so, increasing taxes generally affects the middle rather than the top earners. Anyone with millions understands the system well enough to utilize every possible means to avoid further levies. Corporate taxation and regulation however, are for a different discussion.

Think that's what Mao said.
An other socialist!
If governments are to exist, they must work actively to benefit the most vulnerable in a society. Nothing wrong with a dash of Socialism every now and then.

Alpha: I never refused it since I used to call my self a social capitalist but I dont like stereotyping, inequality in America hasn't started recently and election in America cost dear so only the wealth can become a politician so i dont see where the change will come from.

As you said wealthy creating is simple and actually we humans never lived a better time than today but because of our mind set we will not.

You're right. Seems like in the US only the wealthy are able to enter politics.

I also think the video ignores crucial facts that are completely out of the hands of American politicians. The relative loss of American manufacturing must have played a role in the changes over the decades along with the development of financialization.

America isn't a vacuum wherein wealth between people can be gauged and analyzed with respect to laws passed.

lol @ McCarthy, the Democratic party has been moving more and more to the right for the better part of the last 3 decades, they've abandoned unions and the American working class. A left version of the tea party that would hold true to leftist ideals is direly needed.
