unless you live in badiye, city dwellers take a shower regularly. Remember it is 30+ degrees every day down there.

unless you live in badiye, city dwellers take a shower regularly. Remember it is 30+ degrees every day down there.

I've been to Somalia half a dozen times. They don't take daily showers. They wash their face and their hair in the morning but once in a while, they will get a bucket of water and take a shower. I was exaggerating the once or twice a month but its not really often. Maybe once a week.

Must be a local thing to where you visited. I went to Somalia in 2010 and all the people I met showered every day. Calool xanuun baa igu dhacay when I was there because of the new environment and food and there were not many bathrooms and I remember how I used get pissed at these people for always occupying the bathrooms just to shower.

i wont say those names of those cities and towns but lets just say they were urban areas in the both extremes of the country.

I will admit I probably wasn't observing the city folk as much (maybe they did their showers at 5 am when they work up) BUT what I can be 110% in certain is that those people in the bush don't shower often.

Maybe the Govt should build public baths/showers.
They done this in the UK over 100 years ago....it improved the public health dramatically.
