I think Af Maay either need to be abolished or diluted to make it like an accent. We can't afford having millions of somalis who speak different ethnic dialect. All Maay Speakers actually Speak Maxaa so it won't take us long before we can forget it all together. We just need to put money into it.
The Maay Dialects limits the speakers rights to justice, government job opportunity and integration. Whenever a Maxay speaker and Maay speaker have a dispute in court, Since the judges are required to speak Maxaay, the Maay speaker looses his rights. No one understands his arguments and therefore the judge rules on Maxay speaker's favor. There are no translations allowed in Somali courts. Also, Maay speakers do not get transfer opportunity or promoted to big government speakers because his Maay Limits his chances. Maay need to be abolished. Most of the Somalis in Shabellaha hoose and Bay and Bakool plus Gedo and Jubooyinka who speak Maay need to be given an opportunity to learn maxaay in order to stop using Maay.
