The Turkish Opposition demands Gay marriages in Turkey!

The Nationalist CHP party and the Socialist BDP who together got 30% of the Turkish votes in the last election demands gay marriages to be writen into the the Turkish constiation and make it legal. The Ruling consevative AKP party refuses to make it legal and now the Turkish Parliament is going to debate about the issue as the first Muslim country. 2 Years ago the Turkish opposition succeded to make discrimination of homosexuals criminal and now you will get arrested in Turkey for hate speech if you speak negative about homosexuals. Thousands of Turks marched through famed Istiklal Street in Istanbul in a demonstration calling for improved rights and greater social acceptance for the Turkey’s homosexual community

The ottoman legal code of 1854 was the first in europe to decriminilize homosexuality.
It was changed by sultan abdelhamid in 1879.
