Then, a few weeks back, I went in to do some banking, and this rep said they do offer interest-free savings accounts I asked if it was a new policy, and he said it was always an option. He seemed new and all "I understand you can't receive interest because of religious reasons" aka we'll lend out your money w/o giving you any profit

Lets say u make 30k and the tax bracket for that yearly income is 13%.U can put (and use whenever u want,how u want) 5000 in a registered saving account.After doing that,u pay 13% on 25000 not 30k.
