See, that's what the rep said to me when I opened my saving account. Then, a few weeks back, I went in to do some banking, and this rep said they do offer interest-free savings accounts :dwill: I asked if it was a new policy, and he said it was always an option. He seemed new and all "I understand you can't receive interest because of religious reasons" aka we'll lend out your money w/o giving you any profit

Call them up and straight karaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar, and talk about how you're so upset about the latest developments with RBC (hiring underpaid migrant workers) Then bring up competitor banks and how they offer lower banks fees, and you've been thinking of switching cause y'all dont respect my religious views  Guaranteed discount on bank fees and interest-free saving account.

You know what would be the perfect way to save for that, ayuto; no interest, no taxes

If you find one that has been running for a while and by people you are comfortable with, it's perfect.

I cant claim ayuuto on my taxes.
Now I am lost, ii fahansii. You get your pay check (minus income tax), you want to put some of this money in an interest free, tax exempt savings account, yes?

Tushi, do you ever get that look when you tell them you don't want any interest, "you do know we are giving you money", "so your saying you don't to make money for your money sitting here"

Lets say u make 30k and the tax bracket for that yearly income is 13%.U can put (and use whenever u want, how u want) 5000 in a registered saving account. After doing that,u pay 13% on 25000 not 30k.

Po. The logic escapes them.
