The Official Sufi Thread

Postby mcali » Wed Apr 10, 2013 10:23 pm

From time to time I come on somalinet just to check up on things and one subject seems to always pop up.

SUFISM!!!!!!!

Now being a Somali born and raised in the west I can relate to how the typical western muslim would react to sufis

akhas ahlul bidca!!!!

But alhmaduliah Ive gotten past that. Not too long ago I actually came to the conclusion that practicing tasawwuf would elevate me in my deen.

Before I explain how it would I first would like to take time out to open your mind to tasawwuf.

I would like to start of by saying that once upon a time that most muslims were sufis and that the religion spread through them more than any other people.

Also that sufism is not a group but just a science of islam like hadith and arabic could be considered a science of islam.

To be continued........

The peoblem is image, and that the sufis in somalia and ethiopia unfortunatley do engage in saint worship and other mumbo jumbo
instead of proper tassawuf.

they give the salafi cultists ammunition for their attacks.

Sufi is the original Islam. from China to Russia to indonisia every where the form of islam practise is a Sufi Islam.. Wahaabis or so called salafis is a newly invented innovation sect.
and probably if saudi arabia did not had the billions of dollars of Oil money i dont think salafism would have spread to islamic world as it did last 30 years..

but we see the result of salafi sect whichs killing follow muslims. making takfiir other muslims.. suicide bombing and other satanic behavours. but believe me sufism exist before salafism and it will exist long after salafism is gone..
