Titanium....why would you support an independent J/Land?
After all....you have Xamar on lock...for the time being anyway.

Xamar will always be on lock regardless of who is President. The civil war and now "federalism" has made sure of that.

OD, what's the point in staying put when the central government will have absolutely no influence or control in Jubbaland? Makes no sense whatsoever. Federalism is all about the division of powers and distributing responsibilities. USA and it's 50 states all share responsibilities and powers with Washington as the head. Canada and its states all share responsibilities and powers with it's capital as the head. This will not be the case in Somalia. There is no federalism in Somalia. It's called autonomy. Let's call it what it is. Autonomous states are better off just being their own country. Somalia has shamed and disgraced federalism. Federalism is a beautiful thing destroyed by Somalis.

No need to get ahead of yourself....Rome wasn`t built in a day and neither will a federal Somalia.
Listen...there is no greater critic of Somali politics than I, however, we`re stuck with each other and have to make the best of a bad deal.

Progress will only be made with peace and prosperity across the country.
When people have a full belly, a place to live, security and a job then perhaps we can break out of the tribal mindset.
