Continuation of the MBTI Personality

Postby CushiticReflections » Sat Apr 13, 2013 12:59 am

You may remember a thread I started a while ago about the MBTI Personality types where others posted their results of the test. :)

I've come across another test that involves pictures and that types your personality based on your answers. Surprisingly, it was accurate for me as the results were consistent with my MBTI type. Regardless, it is an interesting test. If you have taken an MBTI test before, why not try this one?

NBPC - The Daydreamer

You perceive the world with particular attention to nature. You focus on the hidden treasures of life (the background) and how that fits into the larger picture. You are also particularly drawn towards the colors around you. Because of the value you place on nature, you tend to find comfort in more subdued settings and find energy in solitude. You like to ponder ideas and imagine the many possibilities of your life without worrying about the details or specifics. You are in tune with all that is around you and understand your life as part of a larger whole. You are a down-to-earth person who enjoys going with the flow.

Have you changed your mind about personality typing?

The test seems to be more abstract and different from other tests but the results are interesting. If one were to guess your personality type based on the description, it's clearly: introverted, intuitive, thinking, and perceiving (INTP). But then again whether a result indicates possible "feeling" or "thinking" functions isn't clear with this test. But would you say that INTP even remotely describes your aspects of your personality better than INTJ does?

CushiticReflections:

I'm not entirely sure how asking me whether I paid attention to the sky or the damn grass in a picture says anything about me except that I have lot of time on my hand. It's a ridiculous test if you ask me, as for INTJ/INTP and which is more closer to my personality. Honestly there is not much difference between them, it's just that INTP have a better filter that's all but I'm more inclined to INTJ. While INTP is aware of other people's feelings, INTJ are oblivious and say the first thing that comes to their mind. Also INTP roll things over and over in their heads, while INTJ are more assertive( which some people mistake it for arrogance, not that INTJ cares anyways) plus INTJ make up their mind a in a split second and never look back.

lol I think it's intriguing how it takes into consideration whether one focuses more on nature or people, the foreground or background, etc. Someone who focuses more on nature more than people in the photos are said to be more likely to lean towards introversion and introspection rather than focusing on socialization and gaining energy from it. Still surprised you took it considering your opinion on things like this.

Suppose the test focused more on the preference for structure and predictability than on the other aspects associated with "judging". If you relate to some of the descriptions of an INTJ, what do you find to be inaccurate about other parts?
