They took me Out to Pay My own Lunch

I don't know if this was messed up or its a cultural Clash. My White colleagues sent me a lunch Invite for a colleague who is leaving us. I went out with them then everyone started paying for their lunch after the eating. I thought they took me out so they should take care of the lunch. Even the girl who was leaving ended up paying her Lunch. So what was the point?

The Western culture is all about sharing. Forget about attending lunch invites in restaurants, if someone invites you in their house, you still have to bring something. I think it is a brilliant idea as you don't want to put financial burden on someone who may not afford to do that.

I respect our culture but I think contributing in parties is a brilliant idea.

Somalis are not hospitable, not even to one another they are the biggest hypocrites, they kill each other for tribe but will smile upon you the next day. They will feed you than talk smack about you cuz your tribe. They are what we call in arabic dhul wajhayn, double faced.
