REMINDERS OF OL' SOMALILAND/SOMALIA

Postby Galol » Wed Sep 28, 2005 9:56 am

Somalis/landers are the world's greatest empty talkers, hot-air ballons in human shape. Windbags extraordinaire. In fact this ability to talk absolute dross for days on end and making solemn promises you and your interlocutors full well know you have not teh least intention of upholding - is one of the best and most endearaing characteritics of the Somali.

If you are foreign on the other hand it is unbelievably infuriating.

One such classicly sublime hogwash are teh manifestos of somaliland parties and the character `requirements' set by the NEC(in fact by the gurti elders) of teh candidates.

One manifesto taht made laugh out loud was Kulmiye's first promise " To strengthen teh Isalmic Faith". Now this is Silanyo's party, a man who during his student days in manchester built a formidable reputation as one of his university's most able drinkers, womanisers and general party goer. He doesnty look it now but he kept his credibility in teh field while a seniour Minsiter in Siyad's regime: It was not unknown for him to down few cartons of cold in our 12 hour sessions. He was apparently dazzlingly handsome in his youth so girls followed him around all over Hamr.

I know he is more sober nowadays but teh last thing I expect of this swashbuckling drinkermeister is to strengthen Isalm. I think some of his minions might have said " Hey Silanyo this strenthghening Islam chit sounds really god in that one goat town we just passed" and he said "alright... whateve " witha yawn.

Even more laughably the Gurtis require this of all candidates " they must be strong believers in Isalm" now I know some of those guys....and my response is this: You gotta be kidding me Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Galol,

You should not forget that one can always repent. Siilaanyo is not different from most of the Somalis educated in the west. 85% drunk the thing. Also young people always make mistakes in their lives.

I applaud for adeer Siilaanyo if he speaks for the strengthening of the Somali religion( Islam). up Waxaan leenahay garabkaaga naga dey adeer.

Kambuli,

Misery loves company. Galol just can't take the fact that his drinking pals are seeing the light, repenting and coming back humbly to their creator, he feels isolated and lonely in the field of vile and filth

DD,

I am surprised you choose this argument"or pointing out their hypocracy."

You know it is not valid! Don't you believe in repentance? Not necesssarily religiously but one can stop doing foolish things he/she used to do when they were young. If you are Somali I am sure you know so many people who changed their path in (Balwadda) when they pass their young age.

Kambuli

Since when DD's, a munafaq input became relevant? Just disregard this filthy mothafukka and don't give him the attention he so desperately seeks in the wrong places. Nacallaa isaga iyo tii isha la'ayd ee dhashayba ku yaale

[quote="kambuli"]

Its not invalid arguement cause the gist of Galols post was the hypocracy of former decadent reprobates, now masquarading as 'reformed' upright citizens. So it was a valid arguement.

Repentence is religious concept, I don't believe it. When you correct your old ways because you now see it to wrong, it called 'living'. We learn from experience and correct/adjust our lifes to get best out of our present situation.

Kambuli, gabar maa tahay....cause the other day I saw your nic name in girl's football team some1 selected. Laughing
