A sign of peace will be when there are no more AMISOM soldiers in Somali soil.
No more Kenyans in Kismayo.
No more kevlar vest for the president.

At the moment the Somali "president" is restricted to only certain part of the capital. He has no free movement in his own City and you talking about progress and peace.

Please broaden your mind, Somalia is in a better state than it was in the last 2 decades. Everyone knows now that the public are against the shabab, they can be only eradicated completely mentally an by destroying the ideology which takes time by educating these people.

But tbh I don't like fellow Africans guarding our people, but it is just the way it is. Let these other African soldiers risk their limbs and sacrifice their lives and wipe out the Al shabaab. Also, you cant get away from the fact that Somalia has been during 22 years of civil war and, AMISOM WILL leave and they are currently training our soldiers while killing the shabaab. Support from the west after a while will see him control all regions of Somalia inshallah, it's just a matter of time. Personally, Al Shabaab has the been the most evil thing that struck us since colonialism.
