Qaladaan is not offensive that's just silly
Do you mean to offend when you say it though

If you think tamaadho is funny, you should hear how Oromos have corruptd it even more timaantima

CaliG that's why I say it, that's how I understand it, for me that's what it means - so haye answer the question. Misee does it have some profound deeply offensive meaning that I don't know. Like I wouldn't say boon because I know it's supposed to be offensive but I'd say Cagdheer or Iljeex because it's no big deal. I want to know which category qaldaan falls into.

BV:I bet we'll find more Italian words in your lingo than English in ours
I remember once Ciyaal laughing at our use of the word Kichad (corrupt Kitchen) and saying we use the Somali(insert word here) not knowing it was Italian in origin

Why would that be offensive every Somali is referred to as Somalian including yourself :comeon:

Koonfurian isn't offensive and I don't even know what Walanweyn means, does that mean crazy? If so yes it's offensive.
Non Somalis people will use either Somali or Somalian on any Somali. But now amongst Somalis on Snet and other websites Somalian is be using specifically for Ex Italian Somalia people. Someone even used it before I posted. Just an observation

don't know the definition of Walanweyn just who it is directed too

Not really it's all jokes but it's annoying tho when some people just focus on how you speak than what you are saying.

Qaldaan is used as a reverse psychology because those labelled as Qaldaans are the saners out of the whole Soomaali nation (apart from few from Burco, which is our nut farm).

I find it funny when i hear Qaldaan come out of a Southerner's mouth.
