shias put AS, for fatima, ali, hasan, husain, and a few others.

I put AS after immediate ahlul bayt members, they are of chosen blood and are of the household of habiballah (saw)
there is a distinguish between Sahaba and ahlul bayt, this is why when reciting salawatul-nabi you say " allahuma salli calaa muxammadin wa calaa aali, then you say was saxbihi, thus indicating that Allah orderd every Muslim to say salli upon the prophet (saw) and his family (a.s), this is nothing to do with shiici, it's basic logic, why didn't Allah make us say Allahuma salli calaa muxammadin was calaa asxabi in the fardh salah instead of wa calaa aali? It's because the special maqam the ahlul bayt are in.
