It suprised me when this emotionally challenged tribe screams for a fiefdom that exists in their own eyes.
To qualify for the necessary conditons of a state recognition, It is imperative that a state applicant furnish legitimate claims or a mission statement for its great mission.
Do Isaaqs occupy enough land? Currently, we have five regions that correspond to this former protectorate.
1-Sanaag, predominantly settled by Warsangeli, a majority with no separatist motive.
2-Awdal, predominantly settled by Gudabirsi and Issa. Their people have split into two main groups, one for pro-secessionist or pro-separatist and the other group for anti-seperatist.
3-Sool--100% anti-secessionist.
4-Togdheer---25% of its populace from Dhulbahante are anti-seperatist, 20% of Isaaq are also anti-separatist, the remaning 50% is still uncertain if they entirely support this seemingly dead dream.
Waqooyi Galbeed--100% secessionist.
Suppose that the United Nation send a fact finding commission to this part. Wouldn't their findings concur with my state beliefs? For Example, UNISOM , in 1994, responded to a number of resolutions which were the outcome of various meetings. They concluded, ""The request, which was ignored by UNOSOM, was clearly aimed at the United Somali Party (USP) that UNOSOM has appointed to be the legitimate representative of the people of the Sool and Sanag regions." (SOMALILAND: INTERPRETING DOCUMENTS FROM CONFERENCES )
Above all, Something very important fails to define what is there?
Wrong, Sanaag is predominantly Habar Yonis and majority of the people with maybe the exception of Dhulbahant support the separate and independent Somaliland. The Warsengali overwhelmingly support Somaliland intention to become independent.
