Not like Your local halal meat where its in a freezer. The guy selling it says 'no don't worry when You cook it the germs will die'. You can even taste little tiny pebbles in the steak or meat You're eating at a restaurant. No garbage disposal at all, the people that can afford it will have someone take their trash from Your house but You don't know where they're taking it. Stray dogs and cats everywhere. Only someone who's experienced that kinda life before can live there.

Murax all of Africa has issues like that to a certain extent. I'm in Zambia which has a pretty developed capital city and a growing economy, and there still is no such thing as planned garbage disposal.
