Today was so nuts I don't even know where to start. For those that don't now, Sisi (Minister of Defense...the guy who is puppeting for Morsi) announced today that everyone should go out in the streets and protest as an indicator to see who stood with him and who were the terrorists (the heck??). We went to the Friday congregational prayer, like everyone else, and all looked normal. During the congregation, everyone was quiet and expectant, listening to the imam lecture about the most mundane and irrelevant topic as the crowd in front of him fidgeted and tension rippled through the mosque. I swear the minute the imam finished the prayer the entire crowd hopped up to their feet and started chanting HASBI ALLAHU WA NI3MAL WAKEEL (Allah is sufficient for me and is the best trustee of affairs). I looked around me; women were crying while they shouted, men were racing out of the masjid, and the Morsi posters emerged out of nowhere. I felt like a battle was about to go down. I found myself part of a gigantic march spilling out of the masjid and on the streets. We funneled ourselves throughout the region...apparently we were one of 34 marches around Egypt that were anticoup. As we walked and looked up to the nearing apartment complexes, there were men in flannel shirts, women, and children staring down at us. Everyone made a point to tell us their stance. Some of them held up Morsi posters and peace signs, others Sisi pictures. This one crazy lady LOL held a poster of Sisi and was legit bellydancing on her roof, sticking her tongue out at us and putting her fingers in her ears. The hell? I responded with a peace sign because she was ridiculous and ain't nobody got time for dat. When we finished that maseera (march), my sister and I took a taxi to go to another maseera in Dokky, which is in the heart of Cairo and about 3 minutes from Tahrir (the opposing viewpoint). It was NUTS. We were passing through the opposing protest. As we were in the taxi, a microbus in front of us had a boy holding a picture of Morsi leaning out the window. Out of NOWHERE, a bunch of thugs came out with bottles and sticks, cursed out the people in the bus and smashed the windows to shards. I saw the bus veer away and I saw the glass slice the face of the passengers. The driver of the bus kept screaming hasbi allah wa ni3mal wakeel. The irony was there was another car in front of us with a Sisi poster and the streets were cheering them on and the Egyptian soldiers were shaking their hands and kissing them. Disgusting. I swear to god disgusting. Sisi mentioned that today would reveal who the terrorists were. You tell me now. Do I look like a terrorist to you? Or do your paid thugs and intolerant sons of guns the ones that represent freedom and democracy? It's seriously about to go down. Rab3a is the next stop.

Had they known this is what would happen, I wonder if they would have bothered to get rid of Musharaf. Strange how history always repeats itself.

I don't see how it gets to the point of civil war. The Ikhwan aren't armed.Had they known this is what would happen, I wonder if they would have bothered to get rid of Musharaf. Strange how history always repeats itself.
FAH,
Egypt is teetering towards civil war. The silent majority will not tolerate a return to tyranny.

I hope Egyptians form their own al-Nusra.Just proves that armed struggle is the only way to succeed.
