Saudi Arabia Bars Bashir's Plane from its Airspace

Postby AbdiWahab252 » Sun Aug 04, 2013 10:34 am

Sudan's Bashir barred from Saudi airspace

Bashir had been en route to the inauguration of the new Iranian president, Hassan Rouhani [Reuters]

Sunday, August 04, 2013

Aircraft carrying Sudanese leader forced to turn back while en route to swearing-in of new Iranian president.

Saudi Arabia has denied permission for a plane carrying Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir to cross its airspace for the swearing-in of the new Iranian president.

"The Saudi authorities refused to give the plane carrying President Bashir permission to cross their airspace," Emad Sayed Ahmed, the presidential press secretary, told the AFP news agency on Sunday.

Ahmed said Bashir was not flying in his normal presidential aircraft but was using a plane rented from a Saudi company.

The Sudanese leader was travelling to attend Iranian president Hassan Rouhani's swearing-in before the Iranian parliament.

Ten leaders from around the region, including the prime minister of close Iranian ally Syria, had been due to attend Sunday's parliamentary session, Iranian reports said.
Ahmed said that when Bashir's plane entered Saudi airspace, the pilot informed authorities that it had approval "and that it was carrying President Bashir."

"But they said the plane didn't have permission," forcing it to return to Khartoum, he said.

The Hague-based International Criminal Court in 2009 and 2010 issued two warrants against Bashir for war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide over the conflict in Sudan's Darfur region.

Khartoum's links with Iran came under scrutiny after Bashir's regime accused Israel of an October 23 strike against the Yarmouk military factory in the capital, which led to speculation that Iranian weapons were stored or manufactured there.

Israel refused all comment on Sudan's accusation about the factory blast.

If they had, Bashir would be at the Hague.

Grant is a left-wing Democrat.

Bashir lost the South Sudan election for good reason, and will not be winning any legitimate elections in Darfur. Bush, Blair and Obama have not been accused of genocide against their own people.

Navy,

It is my understanding that Israel has blanket permission to use Saudi airspace for any attack on Iran.

He strikes me as a neocon under a sheepskin.
Bush, Blair and Obama have not been accused of genocide against their own people.
However, they have been accused of genocide against Muslims. The International Court wouldn't investigate/prosecute them 'cause it owes its existence, financing, etc to the West. It's a court primarily setup to indict Muslims. Bashir got indicted while Kenyatta got away.

So says the taqiyya practitioner.

Get with it dude. The present battle is not between Islam and the West. It is between Shias and Sunnis. You think the war on terror was a big deal? You ain't seen nothing yet.

"Grant you are telling us that as long as the ones you massacred are not your own people you are free to roam ."

Hargaysay,

Wiki:

"The atomic bombings of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan were conducted by the United States during the final stages of World War II in 1945. The two events are the only use of nuclear weapons in war to date.

Following a firebombing campaign that destroyed many Japanese cities, the Allies prepared for a costly invasion of Japan. The war in Europe ended when Nazi Germany signed its instrument of surrender on 8 May, but the Pacific War continued. Together with the United Kingdom and the Republic of China, the United States called for a surrender of Japan in the Potsdam Declaration on 26 July 1945, threatening Japan with "prompt and utter destruction". The Japanese government ignored this ultimatum. American airmen dropped Little Boy on the city of Hiroshima on 6 August 1945, followed by Fat Man over Nagasaki on 9 August.

Within the first two to four months of the bombings, the acute effects killed 90,000–166,000 people in Hiroshima and 60,000–80,000 in Nagasaki, with roughly half of the deaths in each city occurring on the first day. The Hiroshima prefecture health department estimated that, of the people who died on the day of the explosion, 60% died from flash or flame burns, 30% from falling debris and 10% from other causes. During the following months, large numbers died from the effect of burns, radiation sickness, and other injuries, compounded by illness. In a US estimate of the total immediate and short term cause of death, 15–20% died from radiation sickness, 20–30% from burns, and 50–60% from other injuries, compounded by illness. In both cities, most of the dead were civilians, although Hiroshima had a sizeable garrison."

This massacre ended WWII with far fewer total casualties than would have occurred with an invasion.

The MSB bombing of Hargeisa and Burco is an instance of a government attacking it's own people, as are the events in Darfur.

If you can't distinguish between the two, you have problems.

ah i see so if you can finish the war quicker by massacring even more people you are on the right side of history is that right?

So if siad barre killed off 90% of the isaaq population promptly ending the war, he would be justified right?

or if milosovic wasnt so messy, and killed allot of people quickly and efficiently he would not be a criminal?

so judging from your post, it seems that for you the lives of the expected tens of thousands of US servicemen that were to be lost in the invasion of
Japan were more valuable than the lives of the hundreds of thousands of civilians that you killed.
The lives of jewish settlers also seems to be more valuable than the lives of palestinians.

hiroshima and nagasaki cannot be justified, by attempting to do so you show that you have a problem too.
