listening to abdul basit mujawwad puts you in a trance.

Postby ZubeirAwal » Tue Aug 06, 2013 10:51 pm

I listened to fussilat, jathiya, az-zumar and ghafir, all these surahs have a powerful impact especially listening to it being recited by the unique late qari. When verses describe Allah as "qahhar" irresistible it makes me shiver wallahi, and when I listen.to the verses saying in yawmul qiyama the disbelievers will be surrounded by what they used to mock, it makes me feel pitiful for them, the voice of the qari is just mesmerising and it just puts me in a state of awe at the words of Allah, am I the only one here who enjoys the Qur'an recited slowly?

You are not alone young abuukar, I love it too. My favourite reciters are Mahmood Khaleel Hussari & Muhammad Siddiq Al Minshawi.

Mujawwad recitations are the best! Especially Abdi Basit's but I'm also big fan of Minshawi and Maxamuud Albanna.
