@DisplacedDiraac

I defiantly wasn't raised a sufi, I went this way because I see it to be truthful, defiantly there are sufi folks who are in the abrupt wrong, but as of now I wouldnt ascribe myself to any sect, as I don't see the point of making a fuss about sufi, salafi,Sunni, shia. I worship Allah al wahid with no partners, I strive for a sound heart, I praise the prophet and I sing the praises of Allah, I believe this is what makes me a muslim.

I practice dhikr alone in the dark
Do you ever just laugh and think "what the hell am i doing :deadrose: "
I look forward to it, just me and my creator, one time I was reading a poem by a sudani and when I read

"A fragrance of musk scented the air,
Exciting the hearts, it's love declared,
Moving the eyes as they shed their tears,
Out of their love for Muhammad
"

After reading that I was crying like a baby who lost his toy :myman:

Damn I need to do dhikr again!

Ya xafidhu, Ya Lateefu, Ya Mugeethu Ya Allah!

Have relatives ever come in to your room while you were doing it and were surprised?

No, I do it when everyone's asleep, an hour before fajr, after some optional prayers, it helps me stay straight the following day, in troubling times of Islam such as now, what more can a young servant of Allah do besides using free time to worship and remember him.

How does everyone in your house sleep though if you're making dhikri?

Mate, that's how you call the Jinn. In the dark? Are you sure this is even Sufi thing to do?

Would you rather pray in Rafidhi Temple or pray in Salafi Mosque if you must choose between the two?

@Afrobro Well imam ghazali (RA) says regarding someone like me who's fighting the 3 enemis that are obstacles to the path of Allah of who are, shaytan, nafs and hawa, that to sit in a silent dark environment will allow you to confront them in your mind and heart and once you are not afraid of them and you conquer them you will be successful in consistently worshipping Allah and putting yourself in a state of taqwa at all times, two types of diseases in your heart bro, shubuuhat and shahawaat, defeat these and your nafs and desires are subject to you and not vice versa.

Hutuking, depends on what goes on in these two mosques.

In the shia temple the worshippers call upon Ali, Hussain etc.
In salafi mosque the worshippers call only upon Allah swt, they acknowledge His Holy Attributes etc. But they mention ibn taymiyyah said so and so many times in their speeches.

I see, and my choice is only between these two? Both are two extremes as they rafidhis worship the ahlul bayt while the latter neglects them, as a muslim I balance the two in a middle course, I would rather pray at home.
