Actually it's something that predates Zubeirs religious beliefs. Warlockism is pretty much the essence of his existence. Something thats been past on from generation to generation.

Says the one who calls me a mushrik, and calls Imam nawawi, ibn hajar, at tabarani, abu nu'aym as "misguided sufis".

Who named Zubair Sufi Warlock

The Knights of Warlock began in 16th century AD when thousands of long robed mages gathered during Ziyaara in Berbera to enter the graveyard known as the "Ancestral Rift", this secretive meeting was full of whirling warlocks, teaching their newest members the latest in sorcery. One such warlock, known as Bucur Bucayr al-Yahuudi learned the most wicked of the dark arts, and immigrated to the Horn of Africa as he required sacrificial beings to conduct his wizadry. Warlock Bucayr had a powerful skill, persuading humans, both men and olde of anything in which he desired. One such trick was too, convince these niggardly heathens that they were descended from a proud Arab prince from Arabia known as Sheikh Isxaaq and thus controlled them through this folk figure, even convincing them that they are directly related to the Islamic Prophet Mohammad(SAW)!
One day, when the warlock was growing old, he told his Irir slaves to fetch him a young boy, a boy who would take his place as the warlock of Somaliland. Three years before his untimely end, the menacing warlock taught him all the spells he knew, from the Secret of the Dark Arts, Herbology, Alchemy, Apparition and even Transfiguration. When the head warlock died, the young boy grew to be hated as the depths of Islam entered in the hearts of the children of Irir, but even so, the Warlock transformed! In order to not arouse suspicion he became, Sufi warlock, immoral! The adopted son and disciple of Bucur Bucayr, who now has taken his cause unto the interwebz, behold that is the story of Sufi Warlock.

And keep your tongue from the noble house of Isaaq who are of the house of Ali & Fatima [RA]
Indeed Sa'ad ibn Musa ibn Zubeir ibn Abdulrahman Ibn Isaaq is our grandfather and we have no shame in saying that.
