We should take lessons from the sayings of the Prophet who severely warned us against nationalism. He said,

"He is not one of us who calls for Asabiyyah, (nationalism/tribalism) or who fights for Asabiyyah or who dies for Asabiyyah."

And in another Hadith, also referring to nationalism, racism, and patriotism He said:

"Leave it, it is rotten."

One "promises" jannah and the other is out of civil duty.

I dont know anyone nor have i heard of anyone who goes to Somalia to join terrorists. i dont know about your Somali community Perfect Order, you folks might be different

Grandpa, is it haram to defend your people? To set up a stable state? To protect them from those that wish to kill them, take their wealth, and bomb them? You misunderstand what it means to be in an army.

Also, anyone who claimed to be muslim and was fighting for tribal reasons was clearly in the wrong during the Prophet's scw time. How can you fight for that when the prophet of God scw is there clearly telling you what the fighting is for, who their enemy is, and why they are their enemy. Also, look at when Ali/Muawiya fought ra, were they fighting to estabilish Islam, because they thought the other was kuffar, or because they each thought they had a legitimate worldly reason for it?

there is no point in dehumanizing their actions either. Humans are killers, we are very good killers, we are the best killers, and we do it for a whole variety of reasons.

One promises jannah not to mention it pays well. The other means you follow the orders of corrupt officials and African troops. Sometimes they will order you to capture Somali girls and to bring these girls to them. Not a good look.

Somalis are too soft on killers, that's why we have a whole society full of them. They are not humans, stop seeing them as such.
