What happened to Beledweyne?? City Turned Into Desert!!!

Postby KingWaslawi » Mon Sep 09, 2013 11:45 am

Beledweyne was one of my favourite city in Somaliya. Maxaa ku dhacay way xaaluftay magaaladii quruxda badnayd!!

Koonfuriya iska daa dagaale xataa magaalooyinkii baa ka qayliyay. Waar bal dalcaddan iyo nasladan eega.

The first picture is actually recent and it's taken at a point close to the river where the surrounds are all green. The second picture is taken at a higher altitude far above the city AND I remember there was drought when it surfaced. If you look at more recent pics, it's still very lush mashallah.

Well there was a drought recently so that must have had an effect.

Desertification. Stupid Somalis don't know about eco-management.

@Casanova
The Nile. Everywhere it crosses isn't a lush forest.

2011 drought. The first picture is right above the river bank. Besides, you have to remember that with the seasonal rains, vegetation grows more.

The city itself is mostly cagaar all year around because it's on the river.

During the warmer months, the outskirts might look like this, Shrub land. Come the rain, it's all green again.

:lawd: Look at the resources they have and they have yearly droughts. Truly Allah gives intelligence to whom he wills.

if you look closely at the two pictures, the first one is taken at a closer range than the last one. Just check how big is the river in the first picture. Beledweyne like the rest of the nation can suffer a human made deforestation ...Some greedy individuals may cut the baar tree for charcoal... Insha Allaah we will all prevail :up:

Dudue..with the amount of seasonal rivers/togs in the North, water scarcity there would be solved too. Were all intellectually disabled when it comes to making use of resources in Somalia. There's no "they".
