Respected student Jax, surely as a foreigner Al Amriki should not have gone against the local leadership in such a manner. Although Gotane may be a dictator, Somalia is his native land although it is not the one of Al Amriki.

Amriki and another foreign fighter, Osama al-Britani, a British citizen of Pakistani origin, were apparently killed in an early-morning ambush in a village in southern Somalia. For months, Amriki warned that al-Shabab’s leaders were trying to kill him. In April, he tweeted: “Their goal is to kill us regardless of reason.”

This guy has been reported dead at least half a dozen times only for him to resurface again. It was in May that Somali media reported that he was ambushed and killed in Bay province. I am sure even Al Afghani is alive chilling with Al Amriki somewhere in the bush.

And now Western media are losing their credibility trusting Somali news sources. I am sure BBC has carried 3 or 4 stories of Al Amriki's death.

Have they released the photos of their dead bodies? If not, I would not believe it.
