*Happy people are kinder than necessary.

So, you agree with the rest of it, right? I'm convinced that every person is a deserving soul. They are worthy of your time. You should acknowledge everyone kindly. Look beyond everything else. It's miniscule. A person is a person no matter how small. I want to express my concern, love and admiration for all of humankind. I love everyone. Don't let social constructs like class and race make you forget they have agency.

It is believed that serotonin is affects mood, and increased levels leads to feelings of happiness. I don't believe that it is realistic or possible for the brain to release high levels of serotonin for more than a few moments or hours.
I don't think that happiness could ever be sustained. It is a state of being and is momentary. Peace, in my opinion, is more lasting and deeper than happiness. Someone can feel happiness because they had just gone on their weekly shopping spree at the mall or feel happy due to successfully getting revenge against someone. Peace also requires that one is honest with themselves. I don't think that most people would feel at peace if they treated someone badly or if they had done something wrong without reflecting on it, feeling remorse, and maybe making amends. Maybe I'm not describing it well enough but I think it's far better to strive for peace.
I agree with your points if they are used to achieve feelings of peace but with some changes.
*First point can be summed up with being trustworthy and honest.
*Don't let yourself get stuck in what could have been or your past and avoid holding grudges. Come to terms with it and focus on the present and future.
*Treat others as you'd like to be treated, even if they haven't been exactly kind. Don't ever stoop to someone's level if they treat you badly but do stand up for yourself.
*Find meaning. They hold themselves accountable.
*Be at peace with yourself, genuinely appreciate who you are, but never stop growing as a person.
Also, some things I've learned that may contribute to one's feeling of inner peace:
*Avoid hedonism. After the thrill fades, it only contributes to feelings of emptiness.
*When it comes to friends, choose quality over quantity.
*Don't allow people into your life who don't respect you or who don't contribute to your personal growth in one way or another. You are a person of quality, only allow others into your life who realize this and who are of quality themselves.
*Don't be materialistic. A materialistic mentality leads to an empty life.
*Always be sure to take care of yourself physically, emotionally, and mentality. This means making sure you have a good laugh regularly, have a healthy social life, and spoil yourself every now and then (ie. sleep in once in a while, take a walk, etc).
*This was the hardest lesson to learn - trying to see the positives doesn't mean that you've become a blind optimist. You can still see reality when you realize both the negatives and positives.

Achieve goals and fulfill expectations.
"Happiness" is a sham. It doesn't exist. It is as factual as the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Chase it all you like, you'll never find it if it itself is the goal. Happiness is simply a temporal byproduct of success. The parameters of success are to be determined by the individual. It lingers but is ultimately fleeting. You may flirt with it at times, but soon find yourself regretting decisions and forming new paths hoping to take you elsewhere.
Happiness should be a non-factor in life. When you place all your hopes for being happy into one project, person, or place, it will never work. Place it in yourself. Make yourself a better person. Achieve the goals you set out for. Benefit those around you. Maybe then happiness will be forgotten.

What's with you and constantly commenting about my posts? I'd dare say that the time you wasted finding and typing those posts of yours would have been better spent exercising your mind and reading something longer than a horoscope. I believe in you, walaal. You could read it all if you tried.
