Flash Back of Somali 1969 Revolutionary Thread

Seeing that it is the Month of October, a historic month for Somalia. The 1969 revolution is one of he major historic period of Somalia with it lasting more than 20 years. This thread is to share videos and pictures and articles of Somalia from 1969-1991. Hopefully non-Somalis will know that Somalia was not always a lawless state or failed state. We had a country to be proud of before the civil war. And it is important to know our history and for others to know about it.
In 1975 Somalia was awarded by UNESCO for literacy campaign that successfully increased from below 20% to 70%
