Afghanistan/Pakistan is extremely complicated. Invaders never succeed in Afghanistan and the USA has failed because the USA thinks it is immune to history. I'm against the occupation. You have the dynamics of the ISI helping the Taliban and all this other crazy stuff.

The Taliban is mostly dominated by the Pashtun and they use their Pashtunwali which has many contradictions with the Sharia of Allah SWT. I have a friend whose father was kidnapped by the Taliban (and later released) and he told us about how some of these Taliban prefer their own tribal laws to Sharia ESP with regards to women cause they see the Sharia as too liberal. Honor Killings are haram in Islam but it's part and parcel of Pashtunwali.

My problem with Malala is not that her name which eerily reminds me of a Swahili name -"Malaya", bur my problem is with her new found 'attitude'! OR AIR OF ARROGANCE. The girl has a ferocious arrogance. I sympathize her situation as she is an inspiration, she survived a close death, a bullet through her head by an idiot, insecure Taliban wecel. My problem with "Malala" is the way she stands at a podium preaching while making very strange face gesticulation, channeling Nelson Mandela, and waving a finger as if she is throwing some magic spells in the air.
