What's hell to them is paradise for us, what's paradise is to them is hell for us.People from South African slums or favelas would trade their lives with yours in a heartbeat. Be careful what you wish for.

I never said I wanted to live like them. I want to experience how other people live. I find my life too bland. I don't want to do the typical tourist shit either, rather, some adventure through the slum-type shit. Nothing to get excited about over here.People from South African slums or favelas would trade their lives with yours in a heartbeat. Be careful what you wish for.

It's more of going on a one-man journey while meeting people along the way and having unforgettable experiences. It's boring to talk about when you haven't done it yet, but it won't be once you have that experience and get to share it. The solitude is less physical than mental in the sense that you are living for yourself and not for others.Who are "they"?
The desire to get away from it all is understandable. What I wouldn't give to live in a sanctuary in complete solitude away from people.![]()
Maybe try taking some time for yourself every now and then, away from people, and just explore some part of town you've never been to or take a walk in a forest or something else that will give you some sense of distance.
