The west wants your loyalty and the Chinese want your resources. Russia wants your obedience.

actually you don't matter at all, you're Canadian.

But as Gurey said, we welcome any rivalry between US and Russia, China, because it is that rivalry that gives developing nations a chance to develop, When Barre discarded the soviet completely, he guaranteed his own destruction by allying himself with the US, the best thing for him to do was to live under the radar, but granted that is a difficult thing to do when your neighbor is Ethiopia.

Western Europe doesn't even want Ukraine in the EU proper. Why? well because the country is very poor with a large population. If they allow it to join it will straight away mass migrate to their side. They learned their mistake from Poland.

Ukraine who is between a rock and a hard place knows this and so didn't want to unleash the wrath of Russia who could easily destroy their meagre economy over night just for a free trade deal. I would of done the same thing :up:
