How much does this well known phrase correspond to your own traits and personalities? As i grow older i find myself having more and more commonality with my Dad than i'd ever thought. He was outgoing and quite the comedian among his close peers. Always wanted to be the silly one, full of life and banter. He had a competitive nature too and hated losing. Goes absolutely livid if something didn't go his way. He also had a huge network of acquaintances; ranging from sheikhs to khat dealers

The phrase "like father like son" does not apply to me. I think I am different in many ways than my father. He lived at a different era and in different environment than myself so our approach to life and our mindsets are somewhat different. In some ways I am like him but we have our differences in so many other ways. And I think this is mostly due to the fact that I haven't been around him the last 15 years that I began to develop mentally.
