You go to the local somali xalal, get meat and other grocery items. You put all ur stuff on the counter but after showing her the meat, u put it in a bag and place it on the ground for more room for ur other items.

Now some random guy comes, looks at her and says "hilibka hoos uu dhigtey ma uxisaabtey".

I nevet felt more disrespected in my life that I began to shake with anger and I wanted to seriously hurt this guy, the lady had to apologize to me repeatedly and because I have been her costumer for a very long time, I just paid, took my stuff and left without causing any problems.

Was my reaction extreme?

I have no idea and never seen him before but I have been a regular since moving to this city and only know her and her sisters. The nicest people ever so being accused of deceiving/stealing was too much for me to brush it off, had she not apologized to diffuse the situation I would definitely answered with violence.

Like someone stated, I thought afterwards maybe its one of those focked up somali interactions that is foreign to me but now that I see ur replies, I was right to be offended.
