Yea that is my point. Abdi Johnson is saying these ppl are poor, but I know people who are selling their business to Tahriib, most are spending upwards of $20 to $30000, its not cheap to do tahriib.

Ironman, yes they are poor. They all saved up or take loans. Its not 20K-30K. My cousin did it years ago and he certainly did not have that kind of money on him. Hundreds of people flee monthly. So Somalia is filled with thousands of youth who have tens of thousands of dollars lying around? 99% of Somali youth don't have more than $100 to their name. Since when do Somali youth have businesses to sell?

I agree with you and you have some very good points and I am not saying it is going to be easy.... but some areas where the youth could do something right now is Building roads/farms/housing

I think it's better for these people to stay back home and at least get help from relatives than being giving money to go to tahriib and risk their life's. I mean why risk your life with tahriib even knowing when you make it you'll still be classified as illegal and be giving a hard time. I don't think Somalia is hell on earth there are some people living of better than others but that's doesn't mean they should risk naftooda to be like those ahead off them. They should just stay home try to better their situation and just trust Allah.
