Ancient Somali Script - possible clue in northeast Sanaag?

Postby James Dahl » Fri Feb 21, 2014 2:50 am

I have found a reference to the "ancient Somali script" alluded to by some writers. Apparently there is a place between Ceelaayo and Laas Qooray called "Karin Heegan", with rock art. Between the figures on the rock art depicting scenes and animals, there is what appears to be writing.

There is apparently another site with similar rock art and more writing at Hilayo, 5km away from Karin Heegan.

Perhaps an enterprising Puntlander should travel there and photograph this?

Archeologists from Somaliland, Britain and France have already been to Karin Heegan and the countless other sites, from the ones in Gacan Libaax reserve south of Hargeysa to Laas Geel north of Hargeysa, Sheikh, Dhimbilin, Ceel Afweyn, Laas Qoray etc.

The land is under Somaliland, it's under our control. Pussylanders can't visit without our permission :stylin:

claiming darod land under the bogus colonial name "somaliland" to make himself feel relevant.
james dahl, as a son, born from the largest somali tribe, with two federal states within somalia (jubbaland and puntland), i assure you, puntland will carry out exploration and in depth analysis on the findings of ancient codings in the darod side of sanaag, which is part of puntland.

Claiming what land? I'm not Xaaraami like Daroods who claim anything. I'm simply telling him the truth. Most of these sites are not in "Darood land". Laas Qoray is under Somaliland juridically and militarily. Somalia is a bogus colonial name as well but since it was given to you from your Italian masters that you used to carry on your back like a Majareerteen slave, I suppose you don't have a problem with it.

Godane controls more land in the Jubba valley and you want to tell us you have two federal states. Faqash filth maba xishoodaan. :Heh:

James, such a finding can only be a source of pride for a particular qabiil. So, you might want to focus on a universal finding, and good luck.

People keep talking about this "script" but I have yet to see any pictures or examples. What is clear however, somalis need their own script.
