Her Royal Grace; If there is a word that I abhor in the Somali language, it is ”Huuno”. I thought it was an innocuous word until a few years ago. I was visiting friends in Germany, when I visited a Somali politician who was seriously ill in hospital. He was accompanied by a “huuno” chanting concubine who referred to everyone including the doctors and nurses to as “Huuno”. It was Huuno this, Huuno that. On his deathbed when I and a friend visited him, she asked in a loud voice; Huuno laba mijimood noogu dir inamada! He was too weak to reply but my repugnance towards the word was shaped.JaalleMarx

Her Royal Grace,
What can I say? I am a simpleton who cannot match your brilliance in every sense of the word. True, I have profound admiration for “old” Somali traditions, as you dully noted at a time when we are witnessing unprecedented repulsion against it. However, your awe for “anything English” is mindboggling since you are – at least domiciled- in the US which historically was home to the adversaries of anything “Royal”.

Try old school Somali and I promise thee multiple orgasms. Well, you risk Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder ( PGAD) but getting that is bliss in the context of being a somali.
Sincerely yours,
