What a confused show..
Singing the praises of modelling and muxadarra in the same programme? I don't know what is so amazing about this programme. Everything about it sucks...from the presenter's voice to the constant annoying ads, to the topics covered 'you love wearing dirac tell me about it' to not even making any effort to speak in Somali to a guest who is clearly more comfortable conversing with you in Somali.
Btw guys rewind and play from 9:12 she says HINDIYO dhaqan...lord have mercy

Wallahi "Hoe-den" deserves to be gassed just for her appearance/accent alone.

Cherine, could not have it surmised better myself. Surely, this has got to be, hands down, the worst tv-show ever.
I guess with propagation, over the past few years, of 'pretty', white, dumb, blond female presenters on all major networks, it was only matter of time before, we Skinnies, are afforded an opportunity to produce our own version of the species, thanks, in no small part, to a selectively enforced Equal Opportunity Laws, here, in Canada.

Don't wear a Hijab but stick horse hair on your head.
Simply Serene
The Canadian Somali community is the worst in the world, seen it first hand.

The quality is wonderful, why can't the TV stations be like this
ps It's interesting how hyper religious certain Somalis have become and the hyper secular nature of the other side. Stay tuned to see what happens next when both sides return to Somalia
lol alhamdullilah, there wont be a chance to go Somalia but again jigjiga is 100% a big night club in the name of tradition!!
each to their own.
*shrugs*

They are clearly trying to push an agenda.
These people are disgusting and dangerous. They won’t directly say we want you to take off the hijab. They are using this TV channel and to show & Discuss examples of Somali women who don’t veil themselves.
They are trying to promote this industry of modeling as something positive SMH
Well that's the message I am getting.
They can go shove their integration show up their rears
waaw mashallah. thank you for shattering my stereotype of new generation Somalis women in general .

if its a Somali show they should at least speak Somali.....
I respect the decision the model made as its up to her and god, but again it doesn't look good on her parents, but I think its inappropriate to put someone like her and a sheikh on the same tv show.
geez Somalis these days honestly,..

she's anglicizing it for the gaalo
gaalo can't pronounce many of our names so here in the west we just go along with their fukked up ways. like they can't say cumar cause the "ca" sound is foreign to them. so most go along with just saying omar rather than cumar.

you do know that for most of our history, somali women didn't wear hijabs. the hijab is a carab cultural import. my mother grew up in somalia in the 70s and she said this definitely was the case then. plus you can look at old pictures of nomads going back to the early 1900s and many women wore their hair out.
if anything is moving away from out roots and culture, its wearing the hijab not taking it off.

Your stupid those ignorant nomads knew nothing about Islam and were considered jahils, after the civil war religious Islam revived and enforced the hijaab alot more, its not arab but Islamic! Hijab is a commanded in the quran and some scholars (majority) say niqaab is waajib!
