Typical Somalis gloating about a dusty town, with some ugly poor buildings.

Wake me up when a actual Somali clan builds something like Luanda:

Until then keep yapping about unnecessary stuff whilst people are ruling you and your people are being humiliated in Nairobi and around the world. The Somalis of today and the Somalis of yesteryears are not the same indeed.

XimanJaale, you're a true patriot, ignore them, their paralysis is permanent - they have no part to play in the future of the Somali people...too busy eating burgers.

We need more soldiers like you.

And for my two cents - Hawd region is historically split in two parts; the east bordering Somaliland has always been Isaaq territory, whilst the west has been inhabited by Daroods. But I do agree that it being in the hands of Ethiopia is a travesty.

Some people think this would have been a good bargain but no. Every inch of land that belongs to Somalia should never be compromised.

I am not an advocate of giving up Saylac ...however imagine this went through

Hawd and Reserve area under our control there would have been no need
to join Somalia

:blessed:

The only reason unity was sought was to regain the Hawd

To get the full sized somaliland including harar and dirir dhabe in ethiopia for just a mere corridor to saylac and saylac itself.. without firing a single shot whilst solving some centuries old fued.

I say that's a damm good end of the deal..and hope that we persue a political masterstroke like that in the future..

Obviously reer saylac and those living in the ceded corridor need to be relocated, preferably any piece if land anywhere in somalia they wish..for all I care they can have bloody garowe if they please. ..

No more wars, lets settle things diplomatically. .
We will gain 5/6/7/8 million in population and almost 400.000 square km in land plus it would pave the way for an eventual nfd joining the party...

Some people think this would have been a good bargain but no. Every inch of land that belongs to Somalia should never be compromised.
There is a mosque in Seylac that faces Jerusalem just to show its historical richness. Our ancestors fought tooth and nail to keep this place only for their children to contemplate giving it away.

It reminds me of when Damascus was conquered and General Gouraud speech of Wake up Saladin we are back. My presence here today confirms the victory of the Cross over the Crescent. Looks like im exaggerating but that is exactly how the Xabashis will be feeling.
