I see alot of them on the roads these days. When did they become popular?
They have this nice model: Kia Optima
I went to check what the fuss about this particular model was all about and there I see it: $20K
Its for people who want to be driving in luxury but dont necessarily have the money to buy a Lexus or something
It looks really good

If you want an affordable and reliable car, go with Hyundai. Kias nowadays are really flashy, but they're still pieces of shit. Recently, an uncle of mine came up from Toronto in a brand new Kia Forte that he rented. The interior quality was so inferior words can't even describe it; not to mention the engine was struggling once you went over 105km/h. You get what you pay for.

It's weird seeing those Japanese cars North Americans drive, in Europe most cars are German and Italian but that car looks nice.

Kias are not reliable vehicles. If you want a reliable card, buy a Ford.

Waste of money
Why not just get a pre-owned civic for the money? It's perfect for teens and young adults, plus it's a good investment for the buck.
I never owned an American car before but I'm seriously thinking of trading in my car for a GMC Acadia.

Kias, Hyundais are korean.
Abdi you might as well get a Sonata or Elantra at that price.
Some one told me cars are really cheap in Quebec because the roads are really bad. Is that true?

Insurance is cheap too over there. The govt provides auto insurance
I read somewhere the infrastructure projects in Quebec is mostly given to the mob and they cut corners. It's probably a couple of reasons including the poor roads like the harsh winters, the salt that rusts the cars and that cars that were rebuilt after it's been totaled in a crash will not have its car history revealed to potential buyers. But the insurance companies know and wont insure it. Then the buyers find out
Alot of people who live next to Quebec go there to buy a vehicle though. Most cars are perfectly fine. You can save possibly half the cost. Sucks for the honest sellers though

Abdi,
The first generation were real POS. Felt like an underpowered Golf Cart that would struggle to pick up speed or handle the slopes of I-95. My girlfriend wants to get a Minicooper but I am trying to talk her out of it. She likes how it looks but she could do worse with the Fiats.
I got my eyes on getting a used Avalon. Boring yes, dependable YES ! In my line of business, flashing cash is a hazard so low key is the way to go:

Avalons are too big from the back and I always confuse it for a Camry. Why not settle for a Camry?
Speaking of Toyotas, this car caught my eye too

Avalons are more powerful and luxurious than Camries. not to mention, they got that wide body Lincoln feel to it.
A Sequoia ? Why not go for the more luxurious, durable Chevy Tahoe ? The Japs can't manufacture luxury trucks like the Americans.

I've always struggled to understand these north americans, they make a thread on how much they earn and its enviable, and then they post what they drive it doesn't make sense, most people i know drive no less than e-class or 3-series and they got shitty jobs.
p.s. i think kias come with life-time warrantee
