What are your retirement plans?

Postby BlackVelvet » Tue May 06, 2014 2:56 pm

How do you see your life progressing once you've reached retirement?

For the purpose of this thread, assume you are going to live to be at least 96 years old. Have you thought ahead with regards to where and how you plan to live?

We are from a culture where parents and elders live with and are taken care of by their children and grandchildren. So are you expecting or even counting on your children (existing or planned) to take care of you? If not, what are your plans?

Insha'Allah do a lot of volunteer work with the community and youth. If I have enough wealth I would like to make some sort of lasting trust or donation such as building a masjid, school, well, hospital, etc.

When I become too old, Insha'Allah my children shall take care of me.

I dont plan on living longer than 75 if I'm alive til then.

I'll go to Switzerland or Belgium to get the needle. But I plan on retiring back home starting at age 55 and spread my seed and make a new qabiil. I wish to have 50 kids with many women

Are you or will you be actively looking for ways to fund your retirement?

ps

How come you didn't include leaving anything for you children yet you expect them to look after you?

Age 55 and 50 kids, you probably won't need that needle.

You just specified that you'd spend your wealth on charity thought they may not have featured. Why are you so sure that your kids will want to do that?

I was planning on doing a lot of the charity work right after retirement while I am hopefully still wealthy. Plan by then is for my kids to have their own careers and what not. When I pass way my wealth will be distributed among my children.

p.s. I don't expect it to be much
