How to over come sexist/racist tendencies

Postby Adali » Mon Jun 02, 2014 5:49 pm

Any advice ?

Being who I am my racist/sexist tendencies do not effect my personal or professional relationships, I get away with it pretty much all the time and have never been outright told that I am racist or sexist, however I don't like it myself, I am totally and utterly allergic to naago when I have no sexual interest, condescending towards minorities, misogynistic etc etc I often make racist/sexist jokes and remarks without a second thought.

I don't know why I am becoming like this, it is getting out of hand and I don't like it, I don't want to become like my father who is very old school Somali and racist.

The good thing is I have a easy going fun personality and it overshadows my darker side, at times I do get told I am arrogant.

I am just struggling with this personal battle of mine, I don't think many Somalis have this problem as I always see them being discriminated against or them over compensating in their approach towards Whites/Blacks and women, as if they are scared shitless to offend anyone apart from another Somali male.
