Bro, no offense but you don't know what you're talking about. That looks like any beached holiday resort on the planet. It lacks soul, history or character. Mogadishu was unique culturally, the buildings were old and beautiful and was the seat of empires. Don't compare ugly shiny modern hotels to the elegant old city.

I have to wonder when and how the photo of Kismayu was taken. That looks bigger and more developed than I remember. :?: It was a mighty sleepy town when I knew it.

Australia has some of the most bland and boring cities on earth. Give me 1960's Mogadishu any day. You people have no taste. There's a reason why people flock to Paris and Rome and not Melbourne and Brisbane (except maybe for Sun, sea and sand).
