Detectives investigating the brutal murder of a university student stabbed to death in Essex believe she may have been targeted because she was wearing traditional Islamic dress.

The woman, a Saudi Arabian national in her early 30s, was attacked as she walked alone on a quiet footpath in Colchester on Tuesday morning.

Sounds like a hate crime, though the article does raise the possibility that there is a serial killer since in the same town a brain damaged guy was stabbed over 100 times

I really, really feel bad for Muslim Women sometimes. Muslim Men unless they are wearing a Khamis or something are not really identifiable but Muslim Women are identifiable easily and thus vulnerable to attacks by Islamaphobes. If there is one reason I want to live in a Muslim Country it is so My Wife would experience at least one time in Her life not being a minority wearing the Hijab.

Its only in America that Muslim men hide their Islamic identity.

easy solution. don't dress in a manner that'll get you attacked. what would happen if a white woman wore a bikini down the street of a muslim country? would she get harassed? beaten? raped?

christain women when they go to saudi arabia or iran cover their hair and follow the local customs. i don't understand why you think muslims are special and can go into any country in the world and act like they do in their own countries?
