US Investigating Alleged Soldier Desecration of Bodies in Afghanistan

The U.S. military says it is investigating allegations that American soldiers in Afghanistan burned the bodies of two dead Taleban fighters and then used the act to taunt other Islamic militants.

An Australian television network broadcast a video late Wednesday that purportedly showed U.S. soldiers burning the bodies on October 1, outside a southern village near the former Taleban stronghold of Kandahar.

In the video, two soldiers from what was reported to be a U.S. Army psychological operations unit later read messages calling the Taleban "cowardly dogs" for allowing their fighters to be laid down facing West and burned. The Muslim faith prohibits cremation.
The messages were reportedly broadcast to the village, which was believed to be harboring Taleban fighters.

The U.S. Central Command said desecration, abuse or inappropriate treatment of enemy combatants violate U.S. policies as well as the Geneva Convention.

Mad Mac can say that I'm not the biggest fan of the USA Army and we have usually great disagreements about the rol of USA soldiers here and there. But I'm gonna be controversial here:

Some American soldiers behave in a very disgusting, fukking and criminal way against another culture. Who's the first on investigating that? You have that: 1) Australian TV (Western TV of a country which is a loyal ally to USA) dennounces the desecration. 2) The USA Army starts an investigation to make a full report about the event. 3) The soldiers will be identified and brought to a military court in USA. 4) They, for sure, will be considered guilty and, hence, degradated and sent to jail. 5) Other soldiers -and I suppose that Mad Mac will have his say- will reject this behaviour. 6) The Western world will feel scandalized with this.

OK. In one hand, we have this disgusting and rejectable behaviour of American (Western) soldiers, who acted like barbarians.

In the other hand, and that's the reason the Western world is becoming more and more angry with Arabs or muslims, some so-called mujahedeens kidnap, hijack and take away innocent western civilizians who are working in the most of cases in Iraq to help the Iraqi people: journalists, Red Cross members, NGO's. They're shown in home videos treated as animals or even worse than animals, without any human respect to them, with their captors laughing at them, humilliating them in the same way happened in the Abu Gharib prison and, then, as the final act, beheading them in cold blood, while the murderers are laughing, having fun with that and showing the beheaded heads to the videocamera for universal rejoicing. Do Mujahedeen dennounce those criminal act? Do they go after the murderers to catch them, bring them to a court, to judge and condemn them? Do mujahedeens start an investigation to report about it? Do freedom-fighter reject that behaviour? The answer is NO. As Mad Mac says: that's the difference between a regular Army and a undefinied entity as Mujahedeens. Mujahedeens aren't accountable for their crimes or for behaving as unlawful combatants. No one asks for their responsabilities.

And what do we have here? This guy, Costa, having fun with that, making jokes about that. If muslims feel humilliated when they see Guantanamo prison or Abu Gharib prison, what do you think non-muslim when they see the beheadings? The same humilliation and anger. We are all human beings, and nobody, except those ones who are psychopats in both sides, have pleasure seeing the tortures, pain, wounds or death of another human being. The nazis had pleasure killing jews. Some American soldiers probably have pleasure killing Arabs. But there's a system which states that humilliating or killing for pleasure is unhuman. So, we all have here a knive with two edges: if we play with it too much, we can be hurt. Both muslims and non-muslims.

I saw that program and believe me that it was sick and revolting to watch. They alleged at first that they were decaying corposes, but when the journalist digged deeper he found out that it was a ploy to make the Taliban respond and come out of their hiding place. They faced them west because of the direction of Mecca.

They violated all laws relating to the war-dead, and those coward guys should be all locked up.

Who in the world can burn dead bodies? Who can use such heinous act to entice the surrender of enemy combatants. Who but the americans would stoop to such lows. Have you ever heard of any comparable cases in that region or in the world? Never!!!

The afghans give their captured enemy combatants manicures and massages. They host them in comfortable locales and feed them like pigs. NEVER do they behead, kill or harm ANY combatant or civilian.

The americans: ROASTING! This is how the americans treat the dead: they roast them as BAITS!

I tell ya, these americans are different. They're not human. They're barbarians. But what could make them seem so human like and yet egregiously offend everything considered affront by humans. Are there any reasons why normal beings may act in such inhumane way?

It is the pork, onanism and alcohol. They eat way tooooo much of that junk! Yep, that shit have infested and irreversibly altered their brains to the extent that they no longer feel any pain for their fellow humans. Burning a body is like burning a log, both just objects. They drink too much and wank too much. These lecherous and pernicious behaviour have turned them into punch of heartless, emotionless, oversized ROBOTS. They're machines. Mean machines, intent on casting death and misery on the world.

Think of a world without americans. The Afghans would be living in piece, so will the palastinians, somalis, iraqis, Lebanese, sudanese, algerians...basically the whole world would be holding hands and signing everybody join the caravan. I long for such day!

So the solution is Islam. Not just Islam but whole load of islam. Lots of islam, islam everwhere. Islam in life, in your sleep, in your head, even in your sex. For Islam is so righteous it foretold the deleterious effects of alcohol and pork. Do we need any other ideology but Islam. It has PROVEN its self. Case closed.

So long live Islamia, long live arabia, long live afghanistan and long live to the OCTANE EMPIRE!!!

Boo, I 've just watched it now , and seriouly I believe that's different.
I mean war is ugly , people die , and those guys with all their body armor and fire power are scared too . Don't read too much into the "yipieee, yeaaaah" they're just relieved they neutralized what they perceived as a threat.
This is a different ball game . The intent is different , it is a well thought out process designed for a specific reason , and totally illegal. Yupe they're are rules in this game , and regardless of what the enemy does , you either live up to your name or they should stop spending millions of dollars on their image in the world.. and if they were really afraid of going in there with their navy seals or wateva, they could've asked the French { part of ISAF} to go and take a look at that village
