until now khat was legal in the uk and illegal in most other Europeans.uk become smuggling hub to transport khat to places like Holland.it's getting real.

benefits is been tightened and it will only get tougher. That said,this looks like a case of smuggling. Individuals caught smuggling are more likely to go to prison or face hefty fines. Its getting real.

Kent Police said officers found about 500kg (1,102lb) of khat in pillow cases in the boot and back seat of his car.

Possessing khat became illegal in the UK on 24 June when the plant was decreed a class C drug.

Officers have seized the khat, believed to be worth at least £15,000, for analysis

Bad news because I'm for the legalisation of all drugs.

Good news because I don't think one drug should be treated any differently to others merely because of the special pleading, with accusations of racism, of a particular group of users.
