AUN Maxamed Khalaf Aadan Shongole, one of the earliest Somali soccer greats, and the first Somali team captain has passed away today in Mogadishu at the age of ninety some odd years. Later in life, Shongole has served as a coach for various soccer teams and was a ranking member of Somali Olympic Committee. He was a great man.
