Your longest road trip

Postby Mrkutiiriye » Mon Jul 21, 2014 5:50 pm

Walahi I've noticed something weird...whenever I'm speaking to My relatives in Europe and yey want to visit and stuff and I tell them that I plan to show them around by driving to NY, DC, ATL and Toronto they are excited but once I tell them the distance to be covered they all are in a state of shock..they all refer back to how they go to Birmingham England for just 3 hours , to Milton Keyes for 1 and half etc, basically they have never been on the road for more than 5 hours

We don't have nice long stretches of road with great scenery. Just a lot of fumes to choke on and a pub every 4 miles.

It's one of life's pleasure to take a road trip through the states ..I always enjoy it...

I've once travelled from Seattle to Calgary in dead winter..rented a redneck-like pickup truck..went through states and provinces that I never imagined ever visiting , BC, Idaho and Alberta..majority of the time I was up high on the Canadian Rockies.

It's hard to fathom this ..I don't live in Seattle but back in 09 I was forced by a relative to be at their wedding at the last minute...it was Christmas and tickets to Calgary from cbus were simply preposterous ..I hatched a good plan..I had a cousin who worked knew a friend that worked in car renting business. I also convinced cousin to chip in and come along. I ordered him to get us a truck. I just flew there at night and in the morning we took off for Calgary. What a f-king beautiful landscape, what a f-king scenery. We are missing out people.

I hate road trips. I barely made the trip to the U.S out alive. I was in pain all over my body

My friend was telling me the other day he went from B.C to Ontario and it was 2 days

Cities are too spread apart. They should be close together and the rest uninhabited forests
